OHDSI Taiwan x

OHDSI Taiwan x CDE: Advancing Health Data Governance and Regulatory Science

On April 28, 2025, Professor Jason C. Hsu, President of OHDSI Taiwan Society, was invited to the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) to deliver a keynote presentation titled “Global Digital Health: Creating Value Through Diverse Real-World Data and Evidence”, followed by a focused discussion session.

The CDE is a key partner of both the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) and the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA), playing a pivotal role in driving Taiwan’s efforts in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and regulatory science. In this session, Professor Hsu shared OHDSI’s international experience in health data governance, regulatory science support frameworks, and global collaboration models, highlighting their relevance and potential for policy applications.

OHDSI is more than just a scientific research platform—it is a common language that fosters dialogue among government, academia, and industry. Through continued engagement with public agencies, we aim to support innovative health data policy development and enhance Taiwan’s visibility and participation in global regulatory science and digital health initiatives.
